What is a Complete Kitchen Unit?

A complete kitchen unit is basically the cabinet, hinges and drawers (where applicable) and the matching doors or drawer fronts that are required for that cabinet.

The type of door and or drawer fronts will depend on the kitchen style you have selected with in our kitchens category.

We also specify what doors and or drawer fronts are included in the main description on the product page.

How are your kitchen units constructed?

All our kitchen units are manufactured using 18mm MFC. The units are built using cam and dowels which is a strong way to build kitchen furniture. All our furniture fittings have been hand picked to provide a top quality long lasting kitchen for many years to come!

Are your kitchen units delivered rigid built?

Yes our kitchen units are delivered direct to your door fully built up and ready to be installed. This does mean though that you will need a dry, safe area for your new kitchen to be delivered!

Do wire-works, pull-outs etc come pre-fitted?

We currently do not fit any wireworks or pull outs, we offer a supply only service ready for you to install on site. Most wire-works do come with simple fitting instructions and a template to help you fit them on site.

If you are unsure please feel free to contact us.

What type of edging tape do you use?

We use 2mm ABS edging tape (where possible) as standard and is matched as close as possible to the furniture. We use this as it is more robust than the usual .4mm melamine edging tape used by most kitchen manufacturers, making your kitchen last longer.

Is your furniture finish a good match to the door finish?

We work in conjunction with the door supplier to achieve the best furniture to door match possible. Most of our doors have a recommended furniture colour that is the best possible available match to the door.

We do however recommend that you obtain a sample to make sure that you are happy with the match. For unique door colours or our bespoke painted range we leave the furniture colour for our customers to decide, normally a contrasting colour is chosen.

Do your kitchen doors come pre-drilled?

If you purchase our kitchen doors with out kitchen units, the doors will be supplied undrilled as they will be fitted to existing kitchen units. This means that the doors will have to be drilled on site to suit the existing hinge positions on your kitchen units. We do this because different manufactures have different drilling positions for hinges.

If you purchase a complete kitchen from us then we will drill your doors for you Free of charge, like some other suppliers we don't have any hidden charges that are added at the last minute! The price you see is the price you pay.

Are your kitchens units supplied with fittings?

We will supply all the fittings you need for your furniture, we do not however, supply screws or any other fittings not relating to the kitchen furniture, your fitter should normally supply these.

How long will delivery take?

This depends on the products you have purchased from us, for further details please see our delivery page which goes in to more detail about delivery.

Do you offer bespoke cabinets?

At Trade Save Kitchens we do have a wide selection of kitchen cabinets, but we understand that you may need something a bit different.

If this is the case please remember that the door style may not have the door size that you require so this may not be possible.

If however, the door size is available but you require a different combination on the cabinet please add the nearest kitchen cabinet to the basket from KITCHEN UNITS and tell us what you require in the notes 1 and 2 boxes provided.

Next if you require a kitchen door for this cabinet, select the required kitchen door(s)/drawer(s) from the KITCHEN DOORS section.

If you need assistance please ask a member of our team via the chat or our contact form.

Do you have a minimum order value?

Our current minimum order value on Kitchens and Kitchen Units is £1000. For Kitchen doors and accessories, sample, handles and accessories there is no minimum order value.

Why has my Shaker Door got no centre panel?

A shaker door is designed to have an outer frame with a inner inset panel, on some of the smaller sized doors it is not possible to do this so the door is made as one piece, basically a solid door.

As a general rule any door that is less than 256mm wide will not have an inner panel and will be made as one piece. If you would like to check any individual product before purchasing please feel free to give us a call.
